Being happy
in life is important. Nowadays, people complain a lot about pretty much
everything. Who said that life could be perfect? No one. Life has up and downs.
We have to live with that. Think positively in life is important to reach happiness.
If you see red and black, sad ness and madness all the time, then you won’t be
able to be as happy as you want it or even deserve it.
Personally,
I feel super happy. I am realizing my dreams. Slowly but surely. I have a
family who loves me and encourage me in my future. I have good friends. Well
let’s just say that I know a lot of people who are nice to me. I have an
adorable girlfriend who sometimes makes things seem like hell but I know she is
just deeply in love and does not want to lose me. I am in good health, I have
an apartment, a car, insurance. Anyways! Yes I wish I had a ton of money, my
own house, a faster car but it is just the materialistic part of life. What
makes me as a person, the people I am with and the people who participates in
my happiness in everyday life is more important. That is all that matter.
Pigeon Impossible
I was sitting on top of the stop light, looking for some
food. I was very hungry. I saw that weird skinny man crossing the street with a
donut in his hand. He almost got ran over!! I thought: Yes !! I will have the
doughnut for myself. Grhougrhou!! But he got alive on the sidewalk.
A black men walks towards him and give him a small suitcase.
I take off and fly around him for a while.
God I was hungry!
The man sits on a bench… I decide to land next to him.
Grouhougrouhou. Give me some food, I’m hungry, I say. He
looks surprised at me, wondering what I want. Then noticed I give a lovely look
at his sweet food.
He take a tiny piece of it and throw it away. I am not a
dog. I want it all please. Since he didn’t seem to want to share with me, I fly
quickly above his head, making him jump around. But he throws something at me
and I lose control. Grouhouhou. I fall in his weird little suitcase.WOOOW Grouhou it looks nice in here! What are all those buttons? I decide to try them. There are lights and little noises everywhere. I am locked in the suitcase but having a lot of fun. I am jumping around. Then I see that huge red button. I press it but nothing happens… so I try another one and it looks like I’m firing some stuff outside. I’m going to scare the pedestrians! Yeah! I press another one and I can fly with it! I am a super secret agent now! I will get that doughnut! I will kill for it.
I hear an explosion above my head and then, AWWWWW!! I think
I’m dead, Something felt on me. Oh well, at ;least I got my food.
Point of view
I think
stress affects everyone. There is two kind of stress. There is the positive
stress called Eustress and the negative stress called distress. Like said in
the video, there is a pretty big difference on believing that stress is bad for
you or not. Personally I can be stressed for college or also for some financial
reasons. It is something usual among college students. But I can also be stress
when I am about to do something really exciting. I think being stressed in some
occasions can be good because it gives us adrenaline! It is when you have an
exciting feeling about something but your stomach feel super tight. I had this
exact sensation when I went skydiving for the first time, or when I took the
plane for the very first time too. The symptoms of stress are pretty easy to
determine and I think that believing that stress is either good or bad for us
has a pretty big influence on how it affects or physical and psychological
response. I think stress can be good, but only if we can control it and no
feeling stressed all the time.
I have a conflict with my
roommate’s dog. My roommate works from 6.30 to 3pm every day and I have school.
So the dog usually stays inside all day long. And when I come home, that dog
gets crazy and cannot stop barking all the time. He follows me around until I
finally ask him if he wants to go outside. As soon as he hears this word
OUTSIDE. He definitely gets crazy. Anyways, I put him outside. But 30secondes
after he did what he needed to do, he already wants to come back in. Well, at
the beginning, I used to let him and quickly realized that it the game was not
over. I had barely closed the door that he decided to run everywhere and bark
at me again. I put him in and out every 5 minutes. (if not he would just pee on
the carpet or in my bed).
I told my roommate about it and
tells me that I just need to put him outside when I get home. That is what I
do!! So now what? He tells me that it is just a dog and I should not make a big
deal about it. Well, let us see if having dog pee on your blankets will help
you to think a little bit more about it. Before going to school, I lock the dog
inside my roommate’s room. Oh god. When I came back it was a terrible mess. My
roommate never talked to me about it, he probably didn’t know if it was me who
locked the dog inside or if he just forgot to let the door open when he left
for work.
So now I just resolved the problem. I just put
him outside and let him there until sunset. He is tied to a tree and so cannot
escape anywhere. Other dogs comes around and try to play with him. But he is very unsocial. That makes me laugh.
He doesn’t like it. But at least, he doesn’t get crazy and pee everywhere
anymore.
10 things I am passionate about…
1)
Extreme
sensations2) Croustillons
3) Planes
4) Space
5) Sweet Tea
6) Travelling
7) Family
8) Music
9) My future
10) Skydiving
Traveling is how I resource myself. I like to be home, around my
family and what I know. But I love even more going somewhere and discover. If
traveling was free, I wouldn’t be home often. Well, actually right now I am not
really at home since I am studying here in America. But what I like about being
away from what I know is that I keep learning things, I keep evaluating and
growing up because I discover different things, different language different
cultures, and different ways to do or say things, different ways to think.
There is no better way to learn than travel around the world. I wasn’t that
kind of guy 10 years ago> I was more like my dad, wanting to stay home,
because it was enough for me and I didn’t want to experience the unknown, feel
unsecured. But today, that is what I am looking for. I trust myself and I am
confident in what I do. I will always plan what I want to do. I will try to do
it. I started travelling with my grandma. We went to Egypt. It was so
different! I could not believe that people could live that way in the 21st
century. But it was the reality, I started learning about it, and I started
loving it! I definitely wanted to discover things like that for the rest of my
life.
#8) Long-term travel is not a vacation (it's a full-time job).
#2) Most places are as safe (or safer) than home.
Space is the only place that doesn’t belong to anyone. It is infinite, dark, cold
and dangerous. But still to me it is mysterious and attractive. I wish I could
go to space. I just would like to see how the earth looks like from there, how
it feels to float, try to drink water in space, listen to the deep and weird
sounds the stars and black holes. Space would be an ultimate travel. I love
watching movies about space. The most recent were gravity and my favorite,
Interstellar.
I would
like to skydive from space, like Felix Baumgartner did a few years ago, just to
see how things looks when you are that high in the sky, above everything,
alone, silent, peaceful.

Alaska
Alaska seems to be a
beautiful state to me. But it is way to cold for me to go live there. I have
seen some pictures and there seems like there are a lot of fun trips to do. But
still I don’t know if I would like it. When I go on vacation its usually during
summer… why would I go to a cold place? To me vacation equals beach, sand,
water, sunburn, sun cream, sun glasses, shorts,… I often wonder how people get
to choose to move to Alaska. I mean if you are born there, of course you get used
to it. It is and stays home for you. But why someone from Florida or California
would choose to go live in the extreme northerner state of America? It is cold,
there is snow or ice almost the whole year, bears and wolfs can kill you while
you are doing your little walk in the woods, phone service is bad, internet is
bad,… Final point: You are away from civilization. I can not imagine living
there. Sun. sun/. sun. beach. Beach.beach. Alaska is even melting! People are
going to be under water since the warmer climate we have had for several years
is warming up the atmosphere.
It was going to be a
very warm day
My mom asked me one day if I would like to go skydiving. I
asked her if she was joking and she said no. She knew a pilot and he proposed
her to go skydive. She did not want to. So she asked me if I wanted to take her
spot. I immediately said yes! It seemed so crazy to me and I was so excited
about it. July 24th,2012. We started the car at 9am to go to the
lake. I planned to jump later in the afternoon. It was so hot outside. I was
kind of nervous. I was not scared. I was just super excited. I could not eat
anything. My stomach was super tight. My mom started telling me all the things
that might happen while I’m up there. Parachute might not open, parachute open
too early and catch in one of the plane’s wings, I could break my legs while
landing or hurt my back when the parachute opens, or my plane could simply
crash,… and I pass a lot of others crazy theories she gave me. Moms are
terrible on that point. But anyway! At 3 pm I put my suit on ! It was 90
degrees outside and I was dressed like if we were in Alaska ! Why? The coach
who was going to jump with me explained me a little the steps of skydiving and
how it was going to happen. Of course it scared my mom a little more and made
me even more excited!
